Amber 2009 Investment Forum

On 19 to 20 November 2009 Amber 2009 Investment Forum organised by Polish Entrepreneurs Foundation was held in Szczecin.
The Forum could be considered one of the first opportunities available in Poland to discuss broadly the developmental prospects of cooperation between Business Angels and start-ups. The Forum attracted investors looking for interesting investment opportunities, authors of innovative projects, as well as well-known and reputable representatives of the business community with substantial practical experience.
At the event a picture of the present-day private equity market was presented; the picture was subsequently analysed and commented on by outstanding experts. Moreover, the Forum offered answers to the question: whether and where to invest capital and what risk is involved. The event saw also interesting and dynamic discussions held by venture market experts about the relation between an investor and a company looking for finance, as well as the developmental prospects of AMBER Business Angel activities.
On the second day of the Forum an opening ceremony of POMERANUS SEED Seed Capital Fund, the first fund of that kind operating in north-western Poland, took place. In the afternoon of that day both investors and project authors had an opportunity to take part in specialised training and seminars which could help them make investment decisions.
